  5. The Great Depression presentation

    August 11, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The Grand Forks Public Library will host “North Dakota: Great Depression,” a State Historical Society of North Dakota traveling exhibit. The exhibit will be displayed from August 3 to August 13, 2015. On Tuesday, August 11th at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Douglas C. Munski (UND Department of Geography) will give a presentation to the general public about how the Great Depression changed the cultural landscape of North Dakota for its residents. Mr. Ralph Kingsbury, retired economist, will give a presentation about the causes, progression, and consequences of the financial depression. This project is made possible by a grant from the North Dakota Humanities Council.
