Update: 2 p.m. March 16, 2020
Grand Forks Public to Close Temporarily, Starting March 17
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, effective Tuesday, March 17, Grand Forks Public will be closed until further notice. This includes all programs and events, storytimes, and book clubs. Book drops, including the ones at Choice Health & Fitness, the YMCA, and Thompson Public School, will also be closed during this time. Rest assured, library materials will not need to be returned until we have reopened and no late fees will accrue during that time. Our online resources are available as always at gflibrary.com.
Our top priority is keeping our community and staff safe. Thank you for your understanding during this time.
As a precaution to help prevent and contain the spread of coronavirus, Grand Forks Public would like to remind you of these important public health tips:
- Wash your hands frequently, especially after you come into contact with frequently touched surfaces (ATMs, credit card machines, handrails, etc.). Remember to scrub well and wash for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Stay home if you are feeling ill. To prevent the spread of illness, it is important to keep your distance from other people if you are feeling under the weather.
- Practice other health precautions, including: cover your cough or sneeze; discard used tissues immediately; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; practice social distancing (keeping a six-foot distance from other people).
