Happy 119 Years!!

Clouds, wind, rain...??? None of that is stopping our Anniversary Celebration this weekend!!  However, we are going to move the bounce house and carnival games INSIDE the library so that everyone can enjoy them safely and comfortably!!

See you Saturday May 18th @ 11 AM - 1 PM

On a related note, it's going to be louder than usually in the library tomorrow until about 2:00 PM

On May 2nd, 1900, Grand Forks City Council established the library levy and appointed the first library board. The library opened to the public three days later on May 5th and was in the Odd Fellows Temple. Three years later in 1903, after receiving a donation in 1901 and purchasing land in 1902, the library opened in downtown Grand Forks in the Carnegie building. On May 22nd of 1972, the Grand Forks Public Library opened our current building.

This year marks 119 years of serving our community and we couldn't be more proud of our journey and continued innovation to be the best library that we can be for Grand Forks and Grand Forks County! We invite everyone to join us on may 18th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM to celebrate this milestone!
