  3. "Driveways" Film Discussion with Screenwriter Paul Thureen

    Paul Thureen, a native of East Grand Forks who is now a screenwriter in New York, recently co-wrote the film, “Driveways” with Hannah Bos. Directed by Andrew Ahn, this film is available in a variety of places, including for free through Kanopy with a library card! Watch the film before March 11, and then join us for a Zoom conversation with Paul & Hannah, as they share thoughts about the screenwriting process, Paul’s childhood in the Red River Valley (and spending time at the library!), and much more.     Notice is hereby given that the Grand Forks Public Library Board will meet on the above date and time. Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the library is currently closed to the public. Members of the Grand Fork Public Library Board and Library Staff may be attending this meeting electronically or telephonically. This meeting will be conducted with social distancing modifications consistent with the recommendations of the CDC. In-person attendance at the meeting by the public will not be allowed. Members of the public may view the live airing of the GFPL Board Meeting streamed live through the Library’s Facebook page. Any member of the public seeking to submit comments relating to an agenda item or other meeting topic should submit their comments to wendy.wendt@gflibrary.com. All comments received prior to 2:00 p.m. on the meeting day will be considered part of the record of the meeting as if personally presented.
