The Robotics Club will meet at the library on Mondays from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. each week in June and July, 2018. Robots will be available for anyone who wants to play with them. The club is geared toward ages 5-14. No sign up is required.
The Greater Grand Forks Robotics Club (GGFRC) was formed in partnership with the Grand Forks Public Library, the University of North Dakota Computer Science Dept., and the Dakota Science Center. It is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization focused on S.T.E.M. exposure to students of all ages in the Greater Grand Forks area. The club strives to offer this at no cost to students.
There are currently two group components.
FIRST® LEGO® League and FIRST® LEGO® League Jr.
The FLL® season runs from late August to early February. It is highly structured, and requires each team to build, test, and program an autonomous robot to solve a set of missions as well as research, develop, and share innovative solutions unique to the season's theme. Students must be 9 to 14 years old to participate in FLL®, and 6 to 10years old to participate in FLL® Jr.
The Robotics Club meets during the FLL® offseason, and focuses on teaching students how to program robots. It is open to all ages. If interested, please subscribe to the Greater Grand Forks Robotics Club website.
This will put you on the GGFRC e-list. It is free to subscribe.
